The Quest for the Holy Grain - Best Microbreweries
Belgium

Buurtbrouwerij de Coureur
Borstelsstraat 20 bus 1
3010 Kessel-Lo (Leuven)

Brouwerij de Coureur is a micro brewery in a nice residential neighborhood of Leuven, Belgium, far from the entertainment district.
That explains why the only identification for the place is a chalkboard, quite small, leaning on the garage door.
Inside though, de Coureur could be mistaken for an American micro brewery.
The small system, maybe 2 barrels, is set up on the left. Rest rooms are across the way.    Just beyond is the small bar area with plenty of standing room, and then several tables.  A door goes to a backyard patio.    It's a row house set up; the proprietors live upstairs.
There are 10 taps in a variety of styles.
The owner/brewer insisted I have a one off, “almost gone”, Resist, which is a Ukrainian Anti-imperial Stout.

The beers I had were all quite good.    Go there when in Leuven.
